Dulcinea. I can’t get over the fact that you are so very far away. I wanted you to stay. Wanted us to create that perfect world we’ve always dreamed of. Wanted you to be a part of Alex’s life. But I know that you are too precious to keep to myself, and so I must share you with the world.

You are beautiful, yet no matter how many sonnets are penned, or songs sung to Your Hotness, I feel I’ve had a privileged insight into the beauty that is your soul. It’s a curious blend of creativity, awareness, daring, vulnerability, and honor. The stuff legends are made of. You will always be a legend to me.

Thank you – for those nights spend gazing over Danshui, having a cold one, and trying to peer into our uncertain futures; for the unending litany of laughs and laments, and the 18 hour work days at the ASH made bearable by your friendship; for always telling me what you think; for never shutting me out, no matter how many years would go by before we’d see each other again; for being beautiful and making me feel beautiful just by being near you.

Wherever you are, I hope you spend some of today sipping a good wine, nibbling the dark goodness of Droste, listening to your latest musical crush, and laughing at the dramas that were yesterday, knowing that you have the whole world ahead of you, and are His favorite pet.

I love my brothers! And at long last the internet is up and running so I can tell you about it. Prem and Kiran, my small (?) bro’s, are much too far away right now, so I’m beaming lots of love out to them and I hope you guys can feel it!
